Business climate in Bataan is continuously improving and bright prospect is enhanced by a growing number consumer organizations in different towns of the province.
This was noted by Eillene Ocampo, provincial director of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the year-end meet with local media practitioners at a restobar in Abucay town recently.
Ms. Ocampo said she was delighted to learn that there are now a number of consumer organizations formed in at least six municipalities of Orani, Dinalupihan, Bagac, Morong, Mariveles, and the City of Balanga.
Tess Magtanong, DTI information officer, said as of Nov. 2023, the number of registered business firms in Bataan was 5,771, compared to 6,392 of the same period in 2022, a decrease of 9.7 percent. She attributed the dive to on-line business registration which began on August 1, 2023.
